Does the 8 IN 1 remote control require the television to be on for programming?
Frequently Asked Questions - 12 d
Response Notice-Facile

Yes, your television must be on to program the 8 IN 1 universal remote control. This is a requirement for all three programming methods described in the manual.

Why the device must be on

The device must be active so that the remote control can send and receive programming signals. This is an essential technical prerequisite.

The three programming methods

Regardless of the method used, you must always start by turning on your TV:

  • Brand code programming: Turn on the TV, hold down the SET button, press the TV button, then enter your brand's 3-digit code.
  • Automatic search: Turn on the TV, press SET and TV simultaneously for 3 seconds - the remote will automatically send the STOP signal until the device turns off.
  • Manual search: Turn on the TV, press SET and hold it down, then briefly press TV to start the manual code search.

Make sure you have inserted two AAA batteries respecting the polarity before starting the programming.

How to find the programming code for a Dual TV with the 8 IN 1 remote control?
Frequently Asked Questions - 28 d
Response Notice-Facile

The programming codes for all brands, including Dual, can be found in the complete table located at the end of the manual (last pages of the PDF). You can view these pages using the viewer above.

Steps to program your Dual TV:

  1. Retrieve the 3-digit code: browse the manufacturer code table at the end of the manual to find the Dual entry and note the associated code.
  2. Press and hold the SET button on the remote control.
  3. Press the button corresponding to your device (TV, for example) until a red light appears.
  4. Enter the 3-digit code for Dual using the numbered buttons.
  5. Test: press POWER to turn off your TV. If it turns off, the programming is successful.

If your exact Dual model is not listed in the code list, or if the code does not work, the manual explains two alternative solutions: automatic search (hold SET + TV button for 3 seconds, the remote will send signals until your TV responds) or manual search (press POWER to cycle through the codes until you find the right one).

Response Notice-Facile

The 8 IN 1 universal remote from UNIVERSAL REMOTE CONTROL is designed to work with a wide range of electronic devices, including TVs, DVD players, set-top boxes, etc. However, its compatibility with Asus devices depends on the specific model of the device you wish to control.

To find out if your Asus device is compatible, follow these steps:

  • Check the list of remote codes provided with the universal remote to see if a code for Asus is available.
  • Try programming the remote using the indicated Asus code or by using the automatic code search function if available.
  • Test the main functions (power on/off, volume, channel change) to verify proper operation.

If the remote does not work with your Asus device, it is possible that the model is not supported by this universal remote. In this case, you may consider a universal remote with broader or Asus-specific compatibility.
